If you have to ask the question, “Does my breath stink?” the answer is always YES! The world can smell everything you had for lunch, and possibly even what you’re thinking of having for dinner. No worries. You don’t need to burn your tongue off, with alcohol-based mouthwashes, to save the world from your disagreeable breath. There are natural remedies for fighting bad breath odor.

💥 WATER

A well hydrated mouth is the first defense against bad breath. A dry mouth is a warm vacationing desert wonderland for bacteria. Your bad breath will be amplified, and more difficult to stave off. When it comes to the tolerability of your breath, water is your new bestie.

💥 SPEARMINT

Spearmint is one of the most glorious scented herbs. Its aroma is easily recognizable, and is deemed pleasant by cultures all across the globe. It contains high amounts of chlorophyll (the healthy stuff that makes the green plants green,) and can temporarily mask the odor of almost any unpleasant smelling meal.

💥 GREEN TEA

Green tea is mild in flavor, and can quench your thirst, lubricate your dry mouth and its polyphenols prevent the bacteria that cause bad breath from continuing to multiply.

💥 CHERRIES

Cherries neutralize methyl gas. This is the funky stuff the overly comfortable bacteria in your mouth poot out. Instead of two olives, ask the waiter for two cherries in your drink.

💥 PARSLEY

Parsley has a fairly neutral scent, and can easily be requested as a side garnish to your meal. It contains high levels of chlorophyll, and naturally breaks down sulfur compounds and kills odor causing bacteria.

💥 SPINACH

Spinach can be a love it or hate it vegetable. Some find the milder, baby spinach, a more pleasant option. The polyphenols in this plant slow the multiplication of the bacteria that contribute to bad breath.

💥 CITRUS

There are non-roughage options for natural bad breath remedies. Oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits all contain high levels of acidic juice and vitamin C. This creates an environment where it’s difficult for bad breath causing bacteria to flourish.

You might not be a cape wearing superhero, but you can save the planet from having to suffer through your smelly garlic, corn chip and onion dip breath. You don’t even need to ruin your supermodel waistline, pearly white teeth or flawless public image in order to make it happen.
